Support

The below are a list of the most common errors encountered.

1.
Could not connect to server: Can not authenticate to POP3 server: Bad authentication.

This occurs when your ISP's mail server rejects the username and password which has been entered or if you have not correctly selected their domain on the login page. The simplest resolution is to try again also ensuring that Caps Lock is not on.

I recommend that you contact your ISP if the problem persists.

2.
Could not connect to server: Can not authenticate to POP3 server: POP3 connection broken in response

This occurs when your ISP's mail server can not be contacted or rejects your request for login.

A popular cause of this is where some ISP's have a lock on mailboxes for a period after an unsuccessful download. This is often only 15 minutes so if you encounter the above error, wait 15 minutes and try again (Make sure any other email application is closed such as Outlook Express, Microsoft Outlook, Eudora, Pegasus, Incredimail etc).

I recommend that you contact your ISP if the problem persists.

3.
Could not connect to server: No such host as mail.readmail.co.za

In the above "mail.readmail.co.za" is used as an example, this will change to the details of your ISP's mail server and can be caused by a wide variety of issues. I would recommend that you try again in 5 minutes and should the problem persist that you contact your ISP, if they advise that there are no problems please contact me.

4.
My domain is not listed, how do I add it.

In order to add your domain simply fill out the contact page and send me your domain name. You will receive a email confirmation once it has been added.

The above are quite honestly the primary errors encountered over the last 5 years and in 99% of the cases reported it has been a simple username or password issue or error with the ISP.
